Probably just your cooking daddy ……. That’s up there with “I understand what you are saying Nana but a Finnish person wouldn’t “

He is a star 🌟

Yup, just what an accomplished yeschef wants to hear from their loving progeny.

It's very nearly as though he doesn't care about my years of fine dining experience at all!!!

Finland sounds like France - no Valentine’s Day, hard to make friends, and yummy little cakes. And a lot of sick toddlers.

Man I miss France so much. Hoping to visit again sometime soon. Went almost every year as a kid with my mum and sisters.

Happy Ystävänpäivä, Wil! Valentine’s Day has been semi-imported to Portugal, where on the Día dos Namorados I am radically dining out alone at one of my favorite local spots. They were fully booked when I called, but offered to set up a table in the corner next to the bar for me, apologizing hugely. Tudo bem, as they say. Ystävänpäivä, indeed.

I've not dined out alone much in life but for a brief period in which I worked a job that had me travel solo from time to time..I remember those solo dinners fondly. Hope you are well Caroline!!

Those are nice looking cookies. Out of the mouths quite literally. Offspring eh?

"Probably just your cooking daddy" I read that line and went "Uhhf!" Kids!

And I love a good petrol-ly glass of Reisling.

Gotta love that brutal honesty.
